WHAT YOU CAN TRY TODAY
You still need postpartum follow-up for physical recovery, mental health, medicines, pregnancy complications, pelvic health, and anything that feels wrong. Ask the clinic who can see you, what consent is required in your state, and what can remain confidential before sharing sensitive details.
Title IX prohibits covered schools from discriminating based on pregnancy, childbirth, or recovery. The U.S. Department of Education says medically necessary pregnancy- or childbirth-related absences must be excused and students must be allowed to return to the same academic and extracurricular status.
If a trusted adult is available, ask for one concrete action such as a ride, appointment help, food, or a private call. If home or a relationship is not safe, use a safer device when possible and contact a live hotline or local advocate before sending a message someone else may see.
